Origin, Growth, and Mission

Happy Monkey Hydration was born out of a need that was observed by Founder and Veteran Event Paramedic, Nick Ryan. While working AND attending multiple Music Festivals over the last several years, I noticed that the one of the main reasons people end up in First Aid is Dehydration. Festival goers know first hand the physical challenge of walking, dancing, partying and trying to stay healthy and hydrated while doing so.

The thought for Happy Monkey came to me while I was walking around Lollapalooza hungover on Day 3, looking down the barrel of 2 more days of the Festival and thinking “Wow, an IV would be a game changer right now. Fluids, Electrolytes, and Nausea Medication is exactly what I need.” My friends shared my sentiment and Happy Monkey was born. My goal is to bring a relaxing IV hydration experience to music festivals and large events that do not take guests Out of the experience and To provide a solution to hangovers and fatigue that can take away you’re that Experience, and possibly save some guests from a trip to First Aid.

This is why our setup is uniquely designed to offer an Experience within the Experience, A
relaxing place to sit, rest, and recover in a chill environment while you receive your IV infusion. No Doctor’s Office vibes here and Our providers are ONLY experienced Paramedics and Nurses who understand the energy and environment of music festivals so we can provide the most enjoyable experiences to our guests.

Recovery Zone

Our Setup is unique in that we aim to create an experience within the experience. When you step into our Happy Monkey footprint you are met with Jungle décor, lo-fi beats, dim lighting, water, fruit, and a friendly crew that’s there to make your experience as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. No one wants a doctor visit in the middle of their good time, so we take the “clinical feel” out of it.

Upon entry to our Recovery Zone, guests will choose an IV infusion from our menu, they will be screened to rule out any serious medical conditions or contraindications, and their infusion will be initiated by an experienced Certified Paramedic or Registered Nurse. The infusion will be overseen until completion (around 30 minutes) and discontinued for Guest to return to the event optimally hydrated.

Group Experience

In addition to large events, we provide services for smaller events, parties, groups and individuals as well. Weddings, private events, VIP services, Post-surgical and illness recovery. We do our best to accommodate all! For small groups and individuals, a Certified Paramedic or Registered Nurse will meet you wherever you need and provide IV infusions on-site.
